nanosensor

Microscopic sensing device

A nanosensor is a sensor built at the nanoscale—typically measuring between 1 and 100 nanometers.

These devices detect chemical, biological, or physical changes at the molecular level, enabling applications impossible for larger sensors: monitoring individual cells, detecting trace contaminants, or measuring forces within materials.

Researchers developed a nanosensor that can identify cancer cells in the bloodstream.
