music cue
Soundtrack entry point
A music cue is a specific piece of music prepared for use in a film, television show, video game, or theatrical production.
Each cue is typically numbered or named for reference during production: Cue 47 plays when the detective enters the warehouse.
The term also refers to the signal indicating when that music should begin: The conductor waited for the music cue from the stage manager.
