movable feasts
Annually relocating holidays
Movable feasts are religious holidays that fall on different calendar dates each year, most notably Easter, which is calculated by lunar cycles rather than fixed to a specific date.
The term extends to any recurring event without a set time: Thanksgiving is a movable feast, always the fourth Thursday in November.
Hemingway's memoir *A Movable Feast* uses the phrase figuratively for portable pleasures.
