Good Fridays

Christian crucifixion commemorations

Good Fridays is the plural of Good Friday, the Christian holy day commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, observed on the Friday before Easter.

The plural appears when referring to multiple years: We've spent the last three Good Fridays with my grandmother's family.

Despite its solemn subject, the day is called "good" in the sense of holy or pious.
