mock-Tudor
Fake half-timbered style
Mock-Tudor describes architecture or design that imitates the Tudor style of 16th-century England without being authentic to that period.
The hallmarks are decorative half-timbering—dark wooden beams against white stucco or plaster—steeply pitched roofs, and leaded windows.
Most mock-Tudor buildings date from the late 19th and early 20th centuries: a mock-Tudor suburban house, the mock-Tudor shopping district.
