A mobile menu is a navigation interface designed for small screens, typically hidden until activated by tapping a hamburger icon (three horizontal lines).
The menu then slides in or drops down to reveal site links: I couldn't find the settings until I checked the mobile menu.
The term distinguishes phone-friendly navigation from the always-visible menus on desktop sites.
