misposting
Sent somewhere incorrect
Misposting is putting something in the wrong place online—sending a message to the wrong chat, publishing to the wrong account, or uploading content to an unintended platform.
The term appears mostly in social media contexts: I misposted my rant about work to my public account instead of my private one.
In accounting, misposting means entering a transaction to the wrong ledger account.
