A military flag is a flag representing a branch of the armed forces, a specific military unit, or military authority generally.
These flags identify units in the field, mark command posts, and appear in ceremonies.
Military flags often carry battle honors, unit insignia, or national symbols: The regiment's military flag displayed campaign streamers from three wars.
