micro-schooling
Miniature learning groups
Micro-schooling is a form of education where small groups of students—typically fewer than fifteen—learn together outside traditional school settings, often in homes or community spaces.
Parents may hire a teacher or take turns instructing.
The model combines elements of homeschooling with small classroom dynamics: They started a micro-school with five neighborhood families.
The term gained currency during the COVID-19 pandemic when families formed learning pods.
