metalize
Apply metallic coating
To metalize is to coat or treat a surface with metal, giving it metallic properties or appearance.
The process applies thin metal layers to glass, plastic, or other materials—for conductivity, reflectivity, or decoration: metalized balloon film, metalized fabric for costumes.
