metal head
Heavy music devotee
A metalhead is a devoted fan of heavy metal music, typically embracing the genre's associated culture—long hair, black clothing, band t-shirts, and an appreciation for aggressive guitar riffs and pounding drums.
The term is affectionate within the community: I've been a metalhead since I discovered Black Sabbath in high school.
Also spelled as one word: metalhead.
