marionberries
Oregon's signature bramblefruit
Marionberries are a variety of blackberry developed in Oregon, named after Marion County.
They're larger and sweeter than common blackberries, with a complex flavor prized for jams, pies, and wine: The marionberry cobbler was the best dessert on the menu.
Sometimes called "the Cabernet of blackberries."
