macadamia oil
Hawaiian nut oil
Macadamia oil is a light, golden oil pressed from the nuts of the macadamia tree.
Rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, it has a mild, slightly nutty flavor that makes it popular for cooking, particularly for high-heat applications like frying and roasting.
The oil is also prized in cosmetics and skincare for its moisturizing properties and its similarity to human sebum, allowing it to absorb quickly into skin.
I use macadamia oil for searing because of its high smoke point.
