Curved glass aberration
Lens distortion is the optical aberration that causes straight lines to appear curved in photographs or video.
Barrel distortion bends lines outward from the center; pincushion distortion bends them inward.
Wide-angle lenses produce the most noticeable distortion: The fisheye gave everything that warped, bulging look.
Software can correct for it in post-processing.
