left lane
Where speeders drive
The left lane is the lane of traffic closest to the center line or median on roads where vehicles drive on the right side.
In American driving, it's typically reserved for passing or faster traffic, leading to the phrase left-lane hog for someone who lingers there blocking others.
Get out of the left lane if you're not passing.
