granny lane
Cautious driver's territory
The slow lane on a highway, used by cautious or unhurried drivers.
The term is mildly disparaging, associating careful driving with elderly women: I moved over to the granny lane and let the speeders pass.
Also called the slow lane or right lane (in countries that drive on the right).
