learning-disabled
Struggling to process
Learning-disabled describes someone who has a condition that affects how they process, retain, or express information—such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, or ADHD.
The term covers a range of neurological differences that make certain academic tasks more difficult despite normal intelligence: learning-disabled students may qualify for extra test time.
The noun form refers to people collectively: programs for the learning-disabled.
