Simple attached structure
A lean-to is a simple shelter with a single-sloped roof that rests against a larger structure or support: We built a lean-to against the cabin for storing firewood.
The design allows rain and snow to run off one side.
Lean-tos range from crude wilderness shelters made of branches to more permanent outbuildings attached to houses or barns.
