leaded windows
Lead-framed glass panels
Leaded windows are windows made of small panes of glass held together by strips of lead, forming a lattice pattern.
The technique dates to medieval times, when large sheets of glass were difficult to produce.
Leaded windows appear in churches, older homes, and buildings seeking a traditional aesthetic: The cottage had diamond-paned leaded windows.
The term also applies to decorative stained glass work using the same construction method.
