kewpie doll
Chubby carnival prize
A kewpie doll is a chubby, cherubic baby doll with a topknot of hair, wide eyes, and tiny wings—based on illustrations by Rose O'Neill from the early 1900s.
Kewpie dolls became popular carnival prizes and collectibles.
The term sometimes describes someone with that round-faced, rosy-cheeked look: She had a kewpie doll face.
