jumping platform
Elevated launch surface
A jumping platform is a raised surface designed for leaping from—whether into water, onto a trampoline, or in video games where characters hop between elevated surfaces to progress.
The term appears most often in gaming contexts, where platformers feature sequences of jumping platforms that test timing and precision.
