crazy quilt
Irregular fabric collage
A crazy quilt is a patchwork quilt made from irregularly shaped fabric pieces of varying colors, patterns, and textures, sewn together without a repeating design.
Unlike traditional quilts with geometric patterns, crazy quilts embrace asymmetry and visual chaos.
Figuratively, anything assembled from mismatched elements: The tax code is a crazy quilt of exemptions and loopholes.
