internalizer
Holds feelings inside
An internalizer is someone who processes emotions, stress, or conflict inwardly rather than expressing them outwardly.
In psychology, internalizers tend toward anxiety, depression, or self-blame rather than acting out: As an internalizer, she blamed herself for problems that weren't her fault.
The term contrasts with externalizer, who directs distress outward through behavior or blame of others.
