indirect free kick
Untouched goal invalid
An indirect free kick is a type of restart in soccer awarded after minor fouls or technical infractions.
Unlike a direct free kick, the ball must touch another player before a goal can be scored—the kicker cannot shoot directly into the net.
Common causes include dangerous play, obstruction, or the goalkeeper handling a back-pass.
