indentable

Able to nick

Indentable describes something that can be indented—either physically pressed inward to leave a mark, or formatted with margins set back from the edge.

A soft material is indentable if pressure leaves a dent: The clay was still indentable.

Text is indentable if it can be shifted rightward from the margin: Each paragraph is indentable using the tab key.
