horsebox

Horse transport vehicle

A horsebox is a vehicle or trailer designed for transporting horses.

In British usage, it typically refers to a large van or lorry with stalls built in, or a trailer towed behind another vehicle: We loaded the mare into the horsebox for the journey to the show grounds.

The term is primarily British; Americans more often say horse trailer.
