Neighborhood troublemaker type
Hood rat is derogatory slang for a promiscuous woman from an urban, usually poor neighborhood—someone perceived as trashy or sexually available.
The term can also apply more broadly to anyone seen as embodying negative stereotypes of inner-city life: He's just a hood rat who'll never amount to anything.
Sometimes reclaimed or used self-deprecatingly among friends.
