hockey rinks
Puck game surfaces
Hockey rinks are the ice surfaces where hockey is played, along with their surrounding boards and glass.
The standard rink is a rectangle with rounded corners, marked with lines and circles that govern play.
North American rinks are narrower than international ones.
The term extends to the buildings housing these surfaces: There's a hockey rink just outside of town.
