high school coach
Teen team supervisor
A high school coach trains and leads student athletes in a particular sport at the secondary school level.
The role combines athletic instruction with mentorship, as coaches often become significant figures in teenagers' lives.
My high school coach taught me more about discipline than any teacher.
The term sometimes appears in discussions of character development or nostalgia for formative experiences.
