No ace flexibility
In blackjack, a hard hand is one containing no ace counted as eleven, or no ace at all.
A hand with ace-six can be played as 7 or 17; that's a soft hand.
But ace-six-ten can only be 17—counting the ace as eleven would bust—so it's hard.
The distinction matters for strategy: I always hit on a hard sixteen.
