hand clasp
Palms pressed together
A hand clasp is the act of gripping another person's hand, whether in greeting, agreement, or affection.
It differs from a handshake in suggesting a warmer, more sustained grip: They parted with a firm hand clasp.
The term also describes clasping one's own hands together, as in prayer or anxiety.
