hammer fist
Clubbing hand blow
A hammer fist is a striking technique where the closed fist hits with the meaty edge of the hand—the side opposite the thumb—like swinging a hammer.
Common in martial arts and self-defense, it's effective for downward strikes: She delivered a hammer fist to his collarbone.
Less likely to injure the knuckles than a standard punch.
