A hair pick is a comb with long, widely spaced teeth attached to a handle, designed for styling tightly curled or textured hair.
Unlike flat combs, picks lift hair outward from the scalp to create volume, particularly for afros: She used a hair pick to shape her afro.
Some have a fist or other symbol on the handle.
