guitar controller
Plastic fret instrument
A guitar controller is a video game peripheral shaped like a simplified electric guitar, used primarily with rhythm games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
Instead of strings, it has colored fret buttons on the neck and a strum bar or touch pad on the body.
Players press button combinations in time with on-screen prompts to simulate playing songs: I dug out my old guitar controller for the party.
