greenkeeper
Maintains golf turf
A greenkeeper is the person responsible for maintaining the turf and grounds of a golf course—mowing fairways, caring for greens, managing irrigation, and keeping bunkers in shape.
The term is more common in British English; Americans often say groundskeeper or superintendent.
The greenkeeper arrived before dawn to prepare the course.
