graywater

Lightly soiled effluent

Graywater is wastewater from household sources other than toilets—sinks, showers, washing machines, dishwashers.

Unlike sewage (blackwater), graywater contains no fecal matter and can be recycled for irrigation or toilet flushing with minimal treatment: We installed a graywater system to water the garden.
