grave blanket
Burial plot decoration
A grave blanket is a flat evergreen arrangement placed on a grave, typically during winter months when snow would cover traditional flowers.
Made from pine, cedar, or fir boughs woven into a rectangular blanket shape, it covers the grave like bedding: We put a grave blanket on Grandma's plot before Thanksgiving.
Often decorated with pinecones, ribbons, or small ornaments.
