Uneven walking gait
A gimp is a braided trimming or cord used in upholstery and dressmaking, often covering seams or adding decorative edges.
Separately, gimp is offensive slang for a person with a limp or physical disability, and by extension anyone perceived as weak or incompetent: Don't be such a gimp.
In BDSM contexts, a gimp is someone who wears a full-body suit, often leather, typically in a submissive role.
As a verb, to gimp is to limp or hobble. (Capitalized GIMP is image-editing software.)
