heat sealing
Hot pressure bonding
Heat sealing is a method of joining materials—typically plastics or thermoplastics—by applying heat and pressure until surfaces fuse together.
The technique creates airtight or watertight bonds without adhesives: heat-sealed packaging, heat-sealed bags.
Common in food packaging, medical supplies, and manufacturing.
As a verb, heat-seal: Heat-seal the edges to prevent leakage.
