gas production
Creating airborne
Gas production is the extraction of natural gas from underground reserves, or the generation of gas through industrial or biological processes.
In the petroleum industry, it refers specifically to bringing natural gas to the surface from wells: The company increased gas production by 20 percent.
The term also covers biogas generation from organic waste and synthetic gas manufacturing.
Informally, gas production can mean the body's creation of intestinal gas: Beans are notorious for gas production.
