game timer
Match duration keeper
A game timer is a device or display that tracks time during gameplay—counting down from a set limit or measuring elapsed time.
Board games, video games, and sports all use game timers to enforce pace or create urgency: The game timer showed thirty seconds left.
Chess clocks are specialized game timers that track each player's time separately.
