front float
Face-down water position
A front float is a basic swimming position where the body lies face-down in the water with arms and legs extended, staying buoyant without active movement.
It's typically one of the first skills taught to beginning swimmers, helping them become comfortable with putting their face in the water and trusting their body's natural buoyancy: Practice your front float before we move on to kicking.
