forehand drive
Dominant-side court shot
A forehand drive is a tennis stroke hit from the dominant-hand side of the body, swinging forward through the ball with topspin or flat contact.
It's typically the most powerful groundstroke in a player's arsenal: She won the point with a blistering forehand drive down the line.
The term appears in other racket sports like table tennis and badminton.
