flex fuel
Multi-fuel engine capability
Flex fuel, short for flexible fuel, describes vehicles or engines designed to run on more than one type of fuel—typically gasoline blended with varying amounts of ethanol, up to 85 percent.
A flex fuel vehicle automatically adjusts to whatever blend is in the tank: My truck is flex fuel, so I can use E85 when it's cheaper.
