flat roofs
Buildings without peaks
Flat roofs are roofs with little or no pitch, appearing level rather than sloped.
Common on commercial buildings and modern residential architecture, they require different drainage and waterproofing than pitched roofs: The flat roof needed resealing after the winter.
Despite the name, most have a slight slope to prevent water pooling.
