flat-earthers
Sphere-denying conspiracy theorists
Flat-earthers are people who believe the Earth is flat rather than spherical, rejecting established science.
The term is often used dismissively for anyone who clings to demonstrably false beliefs despite overwhelming evidence: Climate change deniers are the flat-earthers of environmental science.
The movement gained visibility through internet communities in the early 21st century.
