fistulas
Unnatural body tunnels
Fistulas is the plural of fistula, an abnormal passage or connection between two organs or between an organ and the body's surface.
Fistulas often result from injury, infection, or surgery and may require medical intervention to close.
Some are created intentionally, as when surgeons form an arteriovenous fistula in the arm for dialysis access.
