final girls
Last ones standing
Final girls are the last surviving characters—typically young women—in slasher and horror films, the ones who outlast the killer through resourcefulness or moral virtue.
The term emerged from film criticism noting the trope's prevalence: She's the classic final girl—she didn't drink, didn't have sex, and lived to tell the story.
The concept has evolved from passive survivor to active fighter in modern horror.
