fields of view

What cameras capture

Fields of view is the plural of field of view, the extent of observable area visible through an optical device or to the eye at any given moment.

In photography and optics, wider fields of view capture more of a scene; narrower ones focus on less.

The term extends to any perspective or range of perception: The two cameras had overlapping fields of view.
