Riding switch momentarily
A fakey is a skateboarding and snowboarding trick where the rider approaches in their normal stance, performs a move (often a kickturn or ollie), and rolls away backward—riding "fake" or opposite to their natural direction.
The term extends to similar maneuvers in surfing and wakeboarding.
As an adjective, fakey describes this backward-rolling stance: He landed fakey after the halfpipe hit.
